Morning Yoga
In this course, we will practice yoga contemplatively. Using posture and breath as mirrors, our emphasis will be on strengthening our capacity to stay in balance in the face of our constantly changing lives. Led by Claire Willis, LICSW.

Basic Drawing for People with Cancer
Anyone can draw and art is a valuable tool for stress reduction! Join Jack Klugerman, BFA Massachusetts College of Art and TWC participant, who will teach you the basics of drawing in a comfortable and non-judgmental atmosphere. The class will meet weekly and materials will be provided. Absolutely no experience necessary!

Expression Through Art
Come explore color and portray on paper the world within yourself. This workshop is for anyone who has a love for the creative process! Kathleen Klein, an art therapist and cancer survivor, will guide you through this experience.

Healthy Holiday Eating
How to maintain healthy eating habits despite the many temptations of Holiday fare! We'll have a special visit to Whole Foods Market in Newton Corner to sample some healthy options and plan our holiday shopping.


Meditation & Guided Imagery
Explore important relaxation self-help techniques. Professionally led by Gretchen Dagget.
Mondays at 4:30 to 5:15PM


Nutrition Matters
Learn what foods and dietary considerations best serve the fight for recovery from cancer. Taught by Sheila Wolfson, CNS. If you like, bring a brown bag lunch to the September program. (Once per month.)

Nutrition and the Digestive System
This program will provide information about how nutrition can enhance the functioning of the digestive system and body.  If you'd like, bring a brown bag lunch.

This program will provide information about how proper nutrition can enhance the functioning of the immune system.

Nutritional Supplements: Questions & Answer Session
Gain a better understanding of the confusing array of nutritional options in fighting cancer. Taught by Sheila Wolfson, CNS

Nutrition at Midlife: Preventing Heart Disease and Osteoporosis
Learn how nutrition can impact osteoporosis and heart disease during menopause. Taught by Sheila Wolfson, CNS. Bring a bag lunch if you like.

Qi-Gong
Qi-Gong is a system of Chinese health care that combines physical training, preventive and therapeutic medicine. It can provide stress reduction and relief from the symptoms of illness and treatment. Taught by Chun-Chi Zhu, a licensed Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner.
Tuesdays at 2:30 – 3:30PM

Tai Chi
Practice this ancient form of Chinese exercise known for its relaxing, energizing and health-enhancing benefits. Now taught by Chun-Chi Zhu.
Tuesdays from 3:45 to 4:45PM

Writing for Wellness
Based on the therapeutic benefits of writing for people dealing with traumatic events, The Wellness Community began a weekly writing program led by Claire Willis, LICSW. Each week is different and is open to anyone living with cancer, caretaking someone with cancer or who has lost someone to cancer.
Tuesdays from 10:30AM to 12:30PM

Yoga
Increase your energy, improve muscle tone and flexibility, as well as stress management skills. Yoga combines stretching, breathing, and relaxation exercises. Taught by certified Yoga instructors Gretchen Daggett and  Barbara Levine.
Mondays at 5:45pm, Wednesdays at 3:30pm and Thursdays at 5:00pm.
