Programs at The Wellness Community are offered in a home-like setting and are available to people with cancer, their family and friends. All programs are free of charge.

Newcomers Meetings
If you are new to The Wellness Community, we recommend you attend a Newcomer's Orientation Meeting. To learn more about the variety of support and educational programs offered free of charge, adults with cancer, family members and friends are invited to join us for a one-hour overview of our services led by a cancer survivor.

Weekly Support Groups
Ongoing groups for people with cancer and/or primary caregivers are the heart of our program. All weekly groups are led by a licensed psychotherapist and require an interview prior to joining.

In our Participant Groups, adults with cancer offer support to one another, explore new ways of dealing with the stresses of cancer and learn techniques to become partners with their health care team.

Our Family Groups offers the primary caregiver of a person with cancer an avenue to explore ways of supporting a loved one in their fight for recovery, while getting some much needed personal support.

Networking Groups
Groups for cancer patients, family members and friends to share feelings and concerns about particular diagnoses or issues. Networking groups are led by licensed psychotherapists.

When a Parent has Cancer. The Wellness Community offers programs that provide support and education to children ages 4-12 who have a parent with cancer (Kids Count Too!) or who have lost a parent to cancer (Kids Connection). A concurrent group is offered for the adults. An interview with the the program's facilitator is required prior to attending.

Special Programs
Interactive learning opportunities offered by professionals on a variety of topics that are related to cancer, reducing stress and maximizing health.

Stress Management and Nutrition
