The diagnosis of lung cancer can be an overwhelming and isolating experience for individuals and their loved ones. Sometimes in the midst of working with new doctors, learning about treatment options, coping with side effects and lifestyle changes, it becomes evident that it is difficult to "see the forest for the trees."

You are invited to join with others in stepping back to take a closer look at how to optimize treatment and improve quality of life when facing lung cancer.

In this workshop, Dr. Tom Lynch, Medical Director, Center for Thoracic Cancer at Mass. General Hospital and a panel of experts will address:

  • The basics about diagnosis, staging and treatment
  • Current research about novel therapies
  • How to become "patient active" in your fight for recovery
  • How the mind and spirit can be integrated to reduce stress and improve quality of life.

The Wellness Community worked in partnership with the Alliance for Lung Cancer Advocacy and Support (ALCASE) and CancerCare to develop the content for this program.

Sponsorship for this program is made possible by GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca and Eli Lilly.
