History
Oak Street Mortgage began business
in 1999 as Cresleigh Financial Services. Our early success
provided us with an opportunity to acquire AABCO Mortgage
Loans & Investments, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, in
2000. AABCO now does business as Oak Street
Mortgage.
In 2001, we formed a partnership with Great Western
Loans & Investments, based in Plano, Texas, which
as of May 2003, is doing business as Oak Street Mortgage.
This full-service mortgage banker brings over 20 years of
mortgage
experience and has built a strong reputation as an
industry leader in 2nd mortgage financing.
In November of 2002, Cresleigh Financial Services changed
its name to Oak Street Mortgage. With this change, we now
have a name that directly reflects our image. Our name sets
an expectation for the kind of customer experience we provide.
In August of 2003, we formed a joint
venture with Hudson & Keyse,
L.L.C., a retail/commercial debt recovery service located in Painesville,
Ohio.
Oak Street's Correspondent Lending Division is
our latest success. As part of our Wholesale
Group, we began development in the 4th quarter of 2003. This division offers
a National Operations Center located in Overland Park, Kansas, a suburb
of Kansas City. We are fully staffed with underwriting, funding,
and operations teams to meet the needs of our correspondent
clients. We support our clients' training needs with our staff
of Regional Managers located strategically throughout
the United States.
With a focus on providing an excellent customer lending
experience along with an easily understandable, simple
and quick loan process, Oak Street Mortgage has grown significantly. Under
the leadership of Steven Alonso, former Bank One Consumer
Lending
Group President, Oak Street Mortgage's Wholesale Division
now spans 26 states.
