2007 Gilda Radner Awards Dinner
We are pleased to announce our 2007 Gilda Radner Awards Dinner Honorees: Kathy Delaney-Smith, Harvard University’s women’s basketball coach; Shonda Schilling, founder of the Shade Foundation, a skin cancer prevention organization; and Eileen Tye, founder of the Ray Tye Medical Aid Foundation. The awards dinner will take place on April 30, 2007at the Westin Copley Place in Boston .
Kathy Delaney-Smith and Shonda Schilling will receive The Gilda Radner Award, which is named after the comic actress Gilda Radner, who inspired the founding of TWC–Greater Boston. The award honors individuals who, like Gilda, demonstrated courage, determination and hope in the face of cancer and provide inspiration to others.
Eileen Tye will receive The Spirit of Wellness Award, which honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the lives of people affected by cancer.
