- Social Workers
All teachers are eligible to receive PDPs. All nurses and social workers are eligible to receive CEUs.
- Develop a fundamental understanding of cancer and its impact on families.
- Learn how to create a support system for students who are struggling with a parent's cancer diagnosis and treatment.
- Take part in role-play sessions that address a variety of real-life situations that school personnel encounter when a parent has cancer.
- Participate in a panel discussion with children and parents who are coping with cancer.
As in past years, sessions will be presented by preeminent Boston-based doctors.
